#TakeASketchLeaveASketch: In this interactive nature art piece, viewers are invited to take a sketch and leave a sketch in the handmade mailbox at Gwynns Falls Trail. Viewers may upload the sketches to Twitter using the hashtag #TakeASketchLeaveASketch. Sketches on this page were left in the mailbox through November 2014.

This piece was the original #TakeASketchLeaveASketch mailbox, however a bird built a next inside shortly after installation. No eggs were laid in the nest, though, and the piece has been slowly deteriorating. It has been renamed Empty Nest. Though this piece is no longer "interactive" in the sense that viewers may handle it, it certainly remains interactive with nature. The images below show its relationships with the outdoors.
